A new installation recently appeared on Mashtots avenue, Yerevan, in order to raise public awareness of the bad effects caused by smoking and as a way of struggling against it.

Well….it failed.

The installation created by the Armenian Ministry of Health is composed of 25 one-meter cigarettes all of them being gathered in a small area in a very inconvenient place, near the subway enter.

Besides that, I think it also fails to stay true to the main idea it was created to serve for, as the installation, in overall, is very colorful and attractive in its bright colors and cheerful animated characters.

Though each cigarette has a writing on it each of them representing different bad effects of smoking, the bright and colorful image of the installation makes the concept of smoking attractive even to non-smokers.
